As we all know that the UHMWPE pipe is 3~4 times wear resistant than HDPE pipe in the same working condition, do you know why?

As we all know that the UHMWPE pipe is 3~4 times wear resistant than HDPE pipe in the same working condition, do you know why?
The following with you the molecular structure of the UHMWPE and HDPE:
UHMWPE molecular weight range from 2.0million to 9.2million, while the HDPE molecular weight is around 500 thousand.
The higher molecular weight means the stronger wear resistant ability, for the very high molecular weight UHMWPE can be applied for making body armor!
To produce the sand dredging pipeline, we applied 3.5million molecular weight UHMWPE material, the folloeing with photos on the UHMWPE dredging pipeline:
